Meela Gill
Director of Professional Development & Attorney Training @Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP
Meela Gill is the Director of Professional Development & Attorney Training at Weil, Gotshal & Manges LLP. In this role, she is responsible for the design and implementation of programs driving the substantive and professional development of the firm’s attorneys. She oversees the firm’s mentoring programs, associate development goals, CLE training, and New Associates Orientation. As administrative head of Weil’s Professional Development Committee, she works closely with lawyers at the firm at every level to continuously assess the learning opportunities for associates and to ensure that the firm’s training and development programs are responsive to the ever-evolving legal and business landscape. Meela is also a member of the firm’s Health and Well-Being Committee.
Jeff Picaman
Director of Talent & Culture, Analytics and Behavior Change @Aetna and CVS Health
Jeff is an organizational development professional with a passion for client service and mindful talent development. He enjoys exploring the relationship between self-awareness and organizational performance using analytics and empathy. Over his career, he’s held a wide range of positions, from general manager in a third wave coffee shop, to health care organizational development, to L&D in a top-tier strategy consulting firm, and is now leading talent development for an analytics organization. Jeff has a passion for mindfulness and self-discovery, and believes that those tools can bring about exceptional capabilities in business. From feedback processes to leadership development, he believes that our ability to understand ourselves drives our career growth and allows us to find sustainable fulfillment.
Pierre Yared
Associate Dean for Executive Education @Columbia Business School
Pierre Yared is the MUTB Professor of International Business and the Vice Dean for Executive Education at Columbia Business School. His research, which has been published in leading academic journals, focuses on macroeconomic policy, political economy, and growth. He is a research associate of the National Bureau of Economic Research and an associate editor of the American Economic Review, the Journal of Monetary Economics, and the Review of Economic Studies. Yared teaches Global Economic Environment, a Core MBA course in macroeconomics for which he received the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence. He is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations and the Economic Club of New York. Yared received his AB in Economics from Harvard University and his Ph.D. in Economics from Massachusetts Institute of Technology.
